Rustic Retreat Weddings & Events Ltd. operates the wedding venue near Lac La Nonne, Alberta, and the
website at www.rusticretreatalberta.ca. This policy covers information collected through the website. We do not
sell personal information.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: both partners' names, email, phone, preferred contact method, wedding or tour
dates, estimated guest count, and your message.
- Booking forms: full names and phone numbers, mailing address, event and backup dates, guest
and camping numbers, on-site emergency contacts, vendor, pet, structure, power and activity details, and photo
permission.
- Chat assistant: messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply and are logged so
we can improve our answers.
- Automatically: pages visited, approximate location from IP address, referring site, browser
and device type.
Why we use it
To answer enquiries and arrange property visits, to plan and safely host events, to meet obligations under the
booking contract, to understand how the site is used, and — where advertising tools are switched on — to show
our ads to people who have already shown interest in the venue.
Who else handles your information
Formspree (form delivery), Vercel (hosting and traffic measurement), Google Analytics (aggregate site usage),
OpenRouter (chat assistant replies), and Meta and Google Ads (advertising measurement and retargeting, when
active). Some providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States.
Cookies and advertising
Analytics and advertising tools set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete them without losing access
to any part of this site. Meta and Google both offer their own advertising opt-out settings.
Your rights
Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's federal privacy legislation you may ask what
we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
