Rustic Retreat Weddings

Multi-Day Outdoor Wedding Venue | Alberta, Canada

About Rustic Retreat Weddings

Rustic Retreat Weddings is a private 65-acre outdoor wedding venue located just 50 minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta, near Lac La Nonne. We specialize in multi-day wedding celebrations where couples and their guests can enjoy an immersive experience surrounded by nature.

Our philosophy is "Ceremony Fancy, Party Casual" - we provide the space and freedom for couples to create their dream celebration without the restrictions of traditional venues.

Family-owned since: 2006 | Opened to weddings: 2025 | Weddings hosted: 8 (as of the 2026 season)

Rustic Retreat is deliberately small and new. Only one wedding is booked per weekend and the season runs June through September, so the property is never shared and the owners host every weekend personally.

Wedding Styles We Host

The same two packages cover every style below - these are not separate products or price tiers, just different ways couples use the property.

Camping Weddings

A true camping wedding weekend: overnight camping is included for up to 60 guests in tents and RVs (boondocking-style, no defined sites; 8 RVs included, maximum 15 total), with nightly campfires on 65 private acres. One wedding per weekend, so the property is never shared. Guests who would rather not camp can stay at Airbnb rentals 5-15 minutes away, or have an RV delivered through RVezy.

A DIY wedding venue with no mandatory vendors, no per-plate catering minimums, and no corkage fees - bring any caterer and run your own bar (an AGLC Special Event Licence is required). The curated décor collection is included at no extra cost, and the multi-day booking means setup takes days rather than hours. All-in pricing from $6,500.

There is no minimum guest count. An elopement or small wedding gets the same exclusive access to all 65 acres, the newlywed cabin, and camping for the people who come along - about an hour from Edmonton, with no crowds and no other event sharing the property.

"The property is stunning, featuring a romantic couples cabin, enchanting forested areas, and a breathtaking gazebo adorned with lights and ample space. The seamless flow to a gorgeous dance floor and field area, endless paths, and an inviting fire pit hangout near the couples suite made for a fun way to end a long night of dancing. Roasting hotdogs and smores, camping with family and friends added an extra layer of joy to our wedding."
